Imagine trying to build a house without a blueprint, or a map to know where to lay the foundation. Wouldn’t that be difficult?
Our lives are meant to have purpose. Without a firm foundation in Jesus and clear vision from Him, every step seems uncertain, and decisions can feel confusing. Have you ever been there?
I know I have.
Foundation is important. First in location and then in quality of ground.
In location, our placement determines the quality of our growth. When God places you, it will be a place you can be built up.
Psalm 1:3-They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
In quality, there can be things going on underneath the surface that we cannot even see, maybe the soil is shifting, or there are boulders or other debris that need to be cleared. Or maybe its a leveling that needs to take place to ensure even ground. When we seek God and His guidance and then act when we hear Him, we are building on The Rock, all other ground is shifting sand and can affect every area of our lives.
Matthew 7:24-25- “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet, it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock.
Vision is also essential; it helps us build with purpose and determination.
Genesis 6:14-16-“Build a large boat from cypress wood and waterproof it with tar, inside and out. Then construct decks and stalls throughout its interior. Make the boat 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. Leave an 18-inch opening below the roof all the way around the boat. Put the door on the side, and build three decks inside the boat—lower, middle, and upper.
Look at Noah, God gave him a blueprint to know how to build the ark. Noah then took that information and acted on the vision God gave him. He may not have had full understanding of the bigger purpose, but he walked in obedience with what he had been given. God has a clear vision for our life, but to see it, we must learn to look with our spiritual eyes. We walk by faith and not by sight. When we only go by human reasoning, or what we see in the natural, we risk limiting what seems “possible" to our own strength. But with GOD ALL things are POSSIBLE!
Isaiah 55:8-9- "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not My ways", declares the Lord. “For as heaven is higher than earth, so My ways are higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
When you think of the vision for your life, or the purpose God made you for, what do you see? Do you see a series of personal achievements? Or the limitations in what is needed? Or a God who is giving you the blueprints for Him to build a much bigger story, interweaving your life with many others?
Abraham only wanted “a son”, But God wanted to give him descendants as numerous as the stars.
When God is the Builder nothing is impossible! ❤️ ~love u
