What do angels of God do?
The Bible is clear they are ministering spirits sent (from God) to serve for the sake of those inheriting salvation.
They stand ready to perform the "voice of God's Word". Who puts "voice" to His Word? We do! We do not command angels, God's Word does...when we speak forth His Word, they go and do it. His Word will not return to Him void, it will accomplish all He sends it forth to do.
Have you encountered angels unaware?
We have had several encounters but one I am reminded of is a time our family literally needed a miracle to exit one country into another, in a time of conflict, when we were on the mission field. All things in the natural looked like we were going to be held. BUT GOD...we started praying and asked for His help. All of a sudden a man of humble appearance showed up, and spoke with great authority to the border guards on our behalf. There was a "presence" about him that was humble but confident. He spoke in their language and then spoke in English "let them pass" . After a couple of minutes, they threw up their hands and let us pass. The man was then no where to be found. We believe to this day, this was one of God's angels sent to help us.
It is important to remember it is God who sends His angels, He has charge over them, not us, we don't worship them , but the One who has sent them.
His Words:
Hebrews 1:14 - Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?
Psalm 103:20 - Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, obeying the voice of his word.
Isaiah 55:11- So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Hebrews 13:2 - And show hospitality to strangers, for they may be angels from God showing up as your guests.
2 Kings 6:16-17 - So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the Lord opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
❤️ May this encourage you, there are times it may seem the battle is too big...BUT GOD promises GREATER are those for you in His Name, than those against you.
